Sheinelle Jones' three children had a sweet reaction to her magazine cover

According to People, Sheinelle Jones said her three children had a sweet reaction to seeing her on the cover of this week’s issue during the Wednesday, Jan. 14 episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle.

The 47-year-old sat her kids down because she didn’t want them to randomly see the coverage on their way to school. Jones, who is mother to twins Clara and Uche Jr., 13, and son Kayin, 16, said they asked to see the magazine, and her younger son told her, “You look good, mom.” She added that when they flipped through and saw the line “facing loss and fighting for joy,” she hopes they will respond the same way.

Jones spoke about life after the May 2025 death of her husband, Uche Ojeh, 45, from glioblastoma, saying she senses him in yellow butterflies, sunflowers and in a tie she gave their son before a Model Congress event. She said she wants her children to carry their father’s legacy “not with pain, but with power,” and has worked to balance her job and parenting — noting she tries not to do interviews after 3 p.m. so she can pick up her kids and aims to be “fully present” when she is with them, she told The Miami Moms.
