Shia LaBeouf poked fun at his battery arrest by dancing with his jail paperwork during Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans. Footage obtained by WGNO shows him flaunting the paperwork to a camera, stuffing it in his mouth and moving his arms in the air while wearing several beaded necklaces.

He appeared in good spirits despite being released from jail without posting bond just hours earlier. The 39-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery after an early-morning bar fight around 12:45 a.m. TMZ footage shows him in a heated confrontation, smashing his head into another man’s face, and another clip shows him shirtless with a missing shoe being tossed to the ground by multiple men.

Patrons restrained him until police arrived. The New Orleans Police Department said he was “reportedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive at a Royal Street business.” A staff member attempted to eject him, and the victim reported being struck by LaBeouf, who allegedly used his closed fists several times.
