Shia LaBeouf head-butts man in New Orleans before arrest

Shia LaBeouf head-butted a man outside a New Orleans bar during Mardi Gras, shortly before his arrest. Footage obtained by TMZ shows the actor speaking with an older gentleman, then lunging forward and smashing his head into the other man’s face. The individual did not retaliate; LaBeouf had his arms tucked into his T‑shirt during the interaction.

Later video shows him shirtless and missing a shoe while being pummeled by several men. Paramedics treated LaBeouf and he was detained and charged with two counts of simple battery. Police say he allegedly punched a staff member at R Bar in the French Quarter, left and then returned hours later and continued to act aggressively; fellow Mardi Gras attendee Jeffrey Damnit said LaBeouf tried to bite the bar manager, used a slur, fell on him while ordering water and threatened, “You f–king push me and I’ll kick your ass.” He was released Tuesday afternoon and returned to the parade route to resume partying.
