Simu Liu Says He and Fiancée Allison Hsu Prioritize 'Good Music' for Wedding
A report from People says Simu Liu, who is engaged to Allison Hsu, told PEOPLE at an Oh, Mary! press event in New York City on Feb. 2 — the day before his Broadway debut as "Mary's Teacher" — that he and Hsu share one wedding non-negotiable.
Liu described wedding planning as "relatively pain-free and joyous," while joking about discovering how much things cost: "Everything always costs more than you think." He said the couple's must-have is "Good music," noting that a wedding is a party for their friends and that they want their musical acts "lined up and ready to go."
He also opened up about his Broadway debut in Oh, Mary!, calling the experience both exciting and nerve-racking: "I'm feeling a combination of excited and terrified." Liu joined the production alongside John Cameron Mitchell and began performances on Feb. 3 at the Lyceum Theatre, remaining in the show through April 21.
