Skyrim mod Feris adds 450 new voiced lines on top of 6,000-plus dialogues
A recent update to the Skyrim follower mod Feris the Follower adds 450 new fully voiced lines, on top of the mod’s existing 6,000 voice lines, Polygon reported on Jan. 28, 2026.
By contrast, Bethesda’s iconic companion Lydia had only around 50 voiced lines when Skyrim first shipped. Feris’s additions are not throwaway barks: the mod often offers multiple potential responses and covers topics from the weather to religion, prompting one commenter, QaxeIsKaze, to call the work "utterly unbelievable."
The update also fixes bugs in Feris’ existing dialogue, expands her idle lines, and enables her to react to more specific situations, such as when the player character is a vampire. The mod creator, Lirinden_, has posted a 16-minute introduction trailer showcasing the companion.
Feris also includes her own questline, with personal quests delivered periodically after the player gets to know her. Lirinden_ says they are currently working on dialogue options for the Dragonborn DLC and on enabling three-way conversations between Feris and other follower mods.
Fans have praised the mod on its download page; one longtime player wrote, 'I have been playing Skyrim over a decade, and she is my favorite follower now.' The creator’s ongoing work signals more dialogue and features are still in development.
