SNL to Air 1000th Episode on January 31, 2026

Nbc reports Saturday Night Live will air its 1,000th episode live on January 31, 2026 on the broadcast network and on Peacock.

The milestone show is scheduled for 11:30 ET/10:30C/8:30 PT. Alexander Skarsgård will make his SNL hosting debut, and Cardi B will be the musical guest, returning for her second appearance nearly eight years after performing in 2018. Sketches from past episodes are available to stream on Peacock.

The 1,000th episode follows SNL's 50th birthday in October, which Amy Poehler hosted on October 11, 2025. The series has won 98 Emmy awards and been nominated 349 times, and the episode will air live with next-day streaming on Peacock.
