Nbc: Saturday Night Live's January 24 episode, hosted by Teyana Taylor, staged an "NFL on ESPN" sidelines sketch set just before the January 25 AFC game that leaned on news that Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was out with an ankle injury.

In the sketch, Taylor's sideline reporter Lisa Salters told viewers the Broncos "ain't got no quarterback," while James Austin Johnson's Joe Buck questioned writing the team off so soon. Backup Jarrett Stidham, played by Tommy Brennan, appears amid fan reactions, and the show also promoted a parody segment called Quefs with recurring characters and a guest star billed as Governor Gavin Newsom.

The sketch's pessimism proved accurate in the episode's resolution: the Broncos lost 7-10 and the Patriots advanced to Super Bowl LX to face the Seattle Seahawks on February 8. Peacock hosts sketches from every SNL episode, including Taylor's debut.
