Snowboarding debuted at the 1998 Nagano Games and has grown into an 11-event program for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. NBC and Peacock will air the events as Team USA and other nations compete when the Games kick off on February 6. Events are organized across five categories.

Parallel Giant Slalom is a head‑to‑head Alpine race on two nearly identical courses with gates spaced about 10–14 meters apart; riders can be disqualified for missing a gate, false starts, interference, missing an outside turn, or not having at least one foot on the board at the finish.

Snowboard Cross features four‑rider heats across berms, jumps and rollers and includes men’s, women’s and mixed team events; a yellow‑and‑red card system penalizes interference. Halfpipe is a judged freestyle event staged in a 22‑foot‑tall pipe, scored on Amplitude, Difficulty, Variety, Execution and Progression.
