Stardew Valley Player Sleeps 1,000 In-Game Years and Finds Rare Spawns
Most Stardew Valley players try not to waste a single in-game day because of seasonal crops, time-locked fish, and the pressure to keep up relationships. One Reddit user, Holozard, deliberately did just that and slept through 1,000 in-game years by leaving their Switch running for three weeks, wrapping a hair tie around the joystick to walk toward the bed automatically, and using a controller's turbo to repeatedly hit the rest button.
The screenshots they shared show an overgrown, abandoned farm strewn with rocks, grass, and trees, plus rare spawns such as meteorites, mushroom trees, and stone owls. Most of Stardew Valley's random events occur overnight, and some have under a 1 percent chance to happen; if the game picks an incompatible tile, nothing appears.
Over the course of 1,000 years, even the rarest events became common on their property. Holozard's images did not show the strange capsule item, perhaps because the farm became too overgrown for it to spawn.
