Starfleet Academy Season 2 Nears Wrap, Actor Says

As Season 1 approaches its finale, cast members report that production on Starfleet Academy's second season is nearly complete. The development comes as the show prepares to close out its inaugural chapter on Paramount+. George Hawkins, who plays Darem Reymi, confirmed the schedule, saying, "We wrap on Saturday." He added, "We're almost there." Hawkins also noted that his character faces major choices in Episode 7, "Ko’Zeine." Earlier in the season it was revealed that Alex Kurtzman was set to begin directing the Season 2 finale on the heels of the premiere press.

Cast members have also said the final two episodes of Season 2 were the first the production filmed in the order they will air; Sandro Rosta observed, "It's the first time we're actually filming one after the other." Plot details for Season 2 remain scarce, but the near-completion of filming suggests fans may not face a long wait between chapters of Starfleet Academy.
