Stars arrive at Beverly Hilton as Golden Globes add inaugural podcast award

Stars were arriving on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills ahead of the 83rd annual Golden Globes, where the ceremony will for the first time include a best podcast category. The three-hour event begins at 8 p.m. Eastern and is being hosted for a second year by Nikki Glaser; it will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ with a premium plan.

The Globes are voted on by more than 300 foreign journalists, a group that does not overlap with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — in 2025, for example, the film "Anora" won five Oscars after winning zero Globes, and Demi Moore, who gave a rousing Globes acceptance speech, did not walk at the Oscars while Mikey Madison of "Anora" took home the Academy award.
