Valve’s Steam Deck is currently out of stock in many regions because of RAM and storage shortages. The company sells three models—the 256GB LCD, the 512GB OLED, and the 1TB OLED—and the LCD model is no longer in production, which explains its absence from listings.

Valve’s Steam Deck homepage cautions that “Steam Deck OLED may be out of stock intermittently in some regions due to memory and storage shortages.” The one-terabyte version is still listed as available in certain areas outside the US. The company has previously flagged hardware-acquisition problems: a planned Steam Machine was delayed amid rising component costs.

In an early February blog post Valve said shortages of memory and storage have forced it to revisit shipping schedules and pricing: “When we announced these products in November, we planned on being able to share specific pricing and launch dates by now. But the memory and storage shortages you've likely heard about across the industry have rapidly increased since then.
