Pcgamer reports the SteelSeries Alias Pro microphone is now at its lowest-ever price, offering streamers a discounted opportunity to upgrade their audio setup.

The Alias Pro is a cardioid microphone with two USB Type-C ports on the back, an XLR connection, and multiple included cables, and it ships with a programmable Stream Mixer for easy muting and gain adjustment. Our Andy, in his review, praised the Sonar audio interface for recognising multiple connected devices and said the Stream Mixer made a two-PC stream setup easy to hook up. He also noted software features such as Stream Mixer dial programming, RGB lighting options, ClearCast AI noise cancellation, a single-slider compressor and an easy EQ with presets that help tame the preamp's increased gain while keeping a good signal level.

The review cautioned that the mic's audio quality and external preamp really shine when attached to the optional Alias boom arm, which is sold separately for just under $100, making that add-on a significant additional cost.
