Stop Killing Games launches NGOs in EU and US — Pcgamer

Stop Killing Games has grown significantly since YouTuber Ross Scott protested Ubisoft's destruction of The Crew in 2024. A petition that gathered 1.3 million signatures forced consideration by the European Union, and Ubisoft vowed not to repeat the move. Scott now says the group is launching two official NGOs, one in the EU and another in the US.

An NGO is a non-governmental organization that pursues particular goals without being part of any government; well-known examples include Oxfam and Doctors Without Borders. Katzner will head the EU effort and will also advise the US NGO. Scott is skeptical the new organizations will produce major industry change in the US but said he would welcome being proven wrong, and expects at minimum that they will raise attention without harming anything.
