Strapsicle unveiled a new iPad mini case at CES 2026 that features built-in silicone straps intended to provide a secure, ergonomic hold for prolonged reading and use.

The case includes built-in silicone straps for one-handed or two-handed use, a detachable cover, a removable Apple Pencil strap, and interchangeable straps for mixing colors. Strapsicle says the integrated straps offer pen‑hand support, neutral hand and wrist posture, and low muscle load, and the company claims it is the world’s first iPad mini case with built‑in silicone straps. An iPad Air 11 case is also planned for 2026.

In a CES press release, Strapsicle co‑founder and head of product Ben Stainlay said, "While the iPad mini and iPad Air are incredibly powerful and portable mobile devices, their initial design wasn't intended for hours of comfortable holding while reading." The company also cited an estimate that more than 55 million Americans experience chronic pain or mobility issues that can make holding devices challenging.

Strapsicle said the iPad mini case will be available through retailers worldwide starting July 1, 2026, with a retail price of $70. ZDNET noted the brand previously earned a ZDNET Editors' Choice award in April 2025 for its e‑reader straps; hands‑on impressions and wider reviews of the new case were not detailed in the release.
