The nominees for the 98th Academy Awards were announced on Thursday morning, with Sinners earning a record‑breaking 16 nominations and One Battle After Another receiving 13. The New York Times said both films are currently streaming on HBO Max and that many of the top contenders can be watched at home.

Several major nominees are available across streaming platforms and digital rental services. Sinners streams on Amazon Prime Video and HBO Max and can be rented on Amazon, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google Play and YouTube. One Battle After Another streams on HBO Max. Other titles named as available include Frankenstein and Train Dreams on Netflix, Bugonia on Peacock, F1 on Apple TV and Weapons on HBO Max; many films are also offered for digital rental.

Of the ten best‑picture contenders, the report says only Hamnet, Marty Supreme and The Secret Agent remain exclusively in theaters for now, along with animated nominee Zootopia 2. Nearly every title should be available by the time the ceremony airs on March 15, the guide added.
