'S.W.A.T.' Spin-Off 'Exiles' Wraps First Season, Lacks Distributor
S.W.A.T. Exiles has finished filming its first season with Shemar Moore returning as the lead, but the series has not yet been picked up by a broadcaster or streaming service. Prime Video and the Fox television network have expressed interest, and production company Sony plans to screen the series to domestic and international buyers in the coming weeks.
The spin-off picks up where S.W.A.T. left off, with Moore reprising Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson Jr., a veteran who is pulled out of retirement after a high-profile mission goes sideways and tapped to lead an experimental S.W.A.T. team of recruits. The main cast includes Lucy Barrett, Adain Bradley, Zyra Gorecki, Freddy Miyares and Ronen Rubinstein.
