Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have spoken about their wedding in recent interviews but offered few specifics, a reticence that has intensified public curiosity and led some fans to liken the event to an “American royal wedding.” The couple announced their engagement on Aug. 26, 2025, in a joint Instagram post.

Ed Kelce said the proposal happened a few weeks earlier in a garden in Lee’s Summit, Mo. The pair began dating after Mr. Kelce attended Ms. Swift’s Eras Tour in July 2023 and discussed it on his podcast; their first public appearance came that fall and he later appeared onstage during her London show in June 2024.
