Sydney Sweeney's Hollywood Sign Lingerie Stunt Faces Possible Legal Scrutiny

Movieweb reports that Sydney Sweeney and her crew were filmed draping bras on the Hollywood sign to promote a new lingerie line, a stunt reportedly done with the support of Jeff Bezos that could land her in legal trouble.

Footage obtained by TMZ shows the actress, star of The Housemaid, placing bras on the famous sign; TMZ said Sweeney's team did not have permission to climb or touch the sign. When reached for comment, the Chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said, "There was no permission granted to do this as is required." The bras were taken down shortly after the promotional stunt.

The Chamber declined to tell TMZ whether it would file a police report, and the coverage noted there were no official signs that trespassing or vandalism charges would be pursued. The report also points out some have speculated the leaked footage might be part of the marketing scheme, and said more details may follow.
