Sydney Sweeney’s The Housemaid arrives on Premium Digital and VOD Feb 3, 2026
MovieWeb reports that the R-rated thriller The Housemaid, starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried and directed by Paul Feig, will arrive on Premium Digital and Premium Video on Demand beginning February 3, 2026 from Lionsgate.
From next week the film will be available to rent on Premium VOD (a 48-hour rental window) and to buy via Premium Electronic Sell Thru on participating digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google TV, YouTube and more, MovieWeb said.
The digital release will include special features such as audio commentary with director Paul Feig, a commentary with the creative team, the featurettes From Page to Panic and “A Peek Inside,” Secrets of the Winchester House: A Housemaid Tour, and deleted scenes.
Based on Freida McFadden’s best-selling novel, The Housemaid follows Millie (Sweeney), who takes a live-in job with wealthy Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar) and finds the situation unraveling into a dangerous game of secrets, scandal and power.
MovieWeb noted the film opened in theaters Dec. 19, 2025, runs 131 minutes, and has grossed $305.9 million worldwide against a reported budget of around $35 million. The outlet also said The Housemaid 2 has been greenlit; no further details on the sequel were provided.
