All three Taken films stream free on Tubi starting Feb. 1, 2026
Movieweb reports that all three films in the Taken franchise will be available to stream for free on Tubi beginning February 1, 2026.
Beginning with the 2008 original, Taken — which stars Liam Neeson as retired CIA operative Bryan Mills — set a new standard for vigilante thrillers, the article says. The piece notes the film grossed over $228 million against a $25 million budget, changed Neeson’s career trajectory from dramas and comedies into action roles, and was directed by Pierre Morel, while follow-ups by Oliver Megaton were described as entertaining but never able to recapture the first film’s impact.
The report adds that the franchise helped popularize the “aging warrior” trope and may have paved the way for films such as John Wick and The Equalizer or a surge in Jason Statham vigilante pictures. As for a fourth Taken movie, the article says Neeson has repeatedly indicated he is finished with the series, joking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, "There's only so many times your daughter can be taken."
