Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir Charm Viewers on The Traitors

Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, former American Olympic figure skaters turned commentators, are competing on the fourth season of The Traitors in the United States. The Peacock series has turned them into fan favorites among a cast largely made up of reality stars.

On the murder-mystery game show, where contestants lie and eliminate one another for a cash prize, Lipinski and Weir have been notable for their warmth rather than their scheming. Their onscreen chemistry traces back to work as NBC commentators at the 2014 Winter Olympics, when they said their friendship clicked immediately.

The pair entered The Traitors as an alliance but pretended to be strangers while filming at a Scottish castle. To communicate without alerting other contestants they developed a secret code of hand and eye signals, brushing fingers in hallways and even using figure-skating jumps instead of names, and they have made it through nine episodes so far.
