Team USA's Caroline Harvey Surprised by Childhood Mentor

A routine interview took an emotional turn when Team USA defender Caroline Harvey began talking about her childhood mentor and was interrupted by that mentor, Lisa Dias, who walked into the frame. Harvey identified her as "my old middle school principal," and said, "She was such an important part of my journey...

I remember she was my soccer coach, but she was also my mentor... She played such a big role in that part of my life, and —" The two embraced as Harvey reacted, "What? You're here? You came all the way here?" Dias replied, "I did — I came all the way here to see you." Harvey admitted, "I'm blindsided right now." Dias added, "It's been amazing watching you grow from when you were a little 8-year-old running around the school and to see where you are today.
