Teddi Mellencamp, 44, said Wednesday that her cancer has not returned after her father, John Mellencamp, said she was 'really sick' and 'suffering' during his Jan. 14 appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. On the episode of her and Tamra Judge's Two Ts in a Pod podcast, Teddi said she believes when her father used the word 'suffering' he meant her mental state rather than her physical condition.

Judge acknowledged that many feared the cancer had come back; Teddi clarified 'there's still no trace of cancer' but said she is still considered stage four and remains on immunotherapy. Teddi said she has started therapy to process the toll of her treatment and life events, citing surgery, her divorce from Edwin Arroyave, emergency surgery and not being able to see her children while recovering.

'I started doing therapy, and so it's taken its toll on me,' she said. She described ongoing physical effects, saying she struggles to touch and move, has noticed she is slower and is fearful the cancer could return. Teddi first revealed a stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in October 2022 and underwent more than a dozen surgeries, including an emergency 2025 procedure to remove several brain tumors.
