Teddi Mellencamp told Tamra Judge on Tuesday’s episode of their "Two Ts in a Pod" podcast that she is "now doing therapy" to process her experiences as she battles cancer, including a 2022 melanoma diagnosis and the discovery of brain tumors in 2025. On the podcast, Mellencamp said she didn’t "properly process" her emergency brain surgery, stretches of time when she couldn’t see her children and her split from estranged husband Edwin Arroyave after 13 years of marriage.

She also noted the physical and mental toll of ongoing immunotherapy. Mellencamp, 44, told Judge she finds it frustrating to be slower and to have trouble with movement as she recovers, and said she wants "to be back to the way I was" before the diagnoses. She addressed recent remarks from her father, John Mellencamp, who said on the "Joe Rogan Experience" that his daughter had been "really sick" and was "suffering." Teddi said her father meant he was referring to her mental state rather than her physical condition.

John has also told outlets he has been encouraging her to move to Indiana so he can support her. Medical updates in previous interviews and posts include an initial stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in 2022, more than 15 surgeries, an emergency 2025 procedure to remove brain tumors, and ongoing immunotherapy.
