Tehran Producer Dana Eden Dies During Season 4 Filming
Dana Eden, an Israeli producer and one of the co-creators of the Apple TV spy thriller Tehran, has died unexpectedly while filming the series' fourth season in Greece. She was found dead at the age of 52 on Sunday (Feb. 15) in a hotel room in Athens, where she was staying during production.
A formal investigation has been launched and no cause of death has been confirmed. Donna and Shula Productions — the company Eden founded with Shula Spiegel — issued a statement calling rumors that her death was criminal or politically motivated 'untrue and completely baseless.' Israeli public broadcaster Kan, a co-producer on Tehran, described Eden as a senior figure in the Israeli television industry and noted her central role in many prominent productions.
Tehran returned in January after a four-year hiatus; its third season debuted on Jan. 9, 2026, and quickly reached the top of the Apple TV global chart.
