Teyana Taylor to Host SNL as Fans Revisit Her My Super Sweet 16 Episode
Nbc reports that Teyana Taylor will host Saturday Night Live at Studio 8H on January 24, and fans are revisiting her episode of MTV's My Super Sweet 16.
Taylor, described in the report as an actress, Grammy‑nominated singer, rapper, dancer, model, music‑video director and Masked Singer winner, recently won a 2026 Golden Globe for her performance in One Battle After Another. She turned 16 on December 10, 2006, and her My Super Sweet 16 episode aired February 26, 2007 (Season 4, Episode 8). The show highlighted a "1980s old‑school skateboard" theme; Taylor had already choreographed Beyoncé's "Ring the Alarm" video and been signed to Pharrell's record label. Her party included invitations handed out from an ice cream truck, a custom designer dress, auditions for dancers, diamonds on her teeth, a rented museum venue organized with help from Pharrell and her mother Nikki Taylor, a marching band, a graffiti‑themed cake, a giant Barbie‑box entrance and gifts that included a $100,000 Range Rover and the BMX bike she said she wanted most; a skateboard ramp was not built after organizers said insurance would have cost at least $2 million.
Taylor will make her first appearance as SNL host on January 24 with musical guests Geese; the show airs at 11:30/10:30c and streams the next day on Peacock.
