The Bone Temple director likens pivotal scene to Heat
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple pits kindhearted Dr. Ian Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) against murderous cult leader Sir Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell).
When the two men first meet, about an hour into the movie, the encounter is brutally tense yet surprisingly chummy. They seem to strike up a friendship, until Jimmy ruins it by threatening to murder Ian.
In a behind-the-scenes video from the film’s home release, director Nia DaCosta compares filming the moment to Michael Mann’s Heat, calling it “kind of like our Pacino/De Niro moment in Heat, but with more zombies.”
The full video also includes interviews with Fiennes and O’Connell.
