Instead, the footage leans on familiar markers of the original film and its characters. That includes Miranda’s sunglasses, Dior fashions and chauffeured black cars, plus nods to today’s media with a shot of people scrolling on Instagram and a Met-Gala–inspired scene with banners reading 'Spring Florals.' Costumes and small details — a scarf that hints at cerulean and references to previous footwear — emphasize the trailer’s appeal to longtime viewers.
