The Elder Scrolls TV Series Unlikely Because of Lord of the Rings
Skyrim lead designer Bruce Nesmith says an Elder Scrolls TV adaptation is unlikely. The franchise, which includes Arena (1994), Daggerfall (1996), Morrowind (2002), Oblivion (2006) and Skyrim (2011) with a sixth entry in production since 2023, faces a crowded fantasy landscape that makes a distinct TV identity hard to find.
Nesmith contrasted Elder Scrolls with Fallout, which has been transformed into a successful Prime Video series.
