The Guardian invites readers to send questions for Melissa Leo after 102nd role
The Guardian is inviting readers to submit questions for Melissa Leo, who most recently plays a probing detective in the psychological drama The Knife, counted as her 102nd screen role.
Leo broke through as Linda Warner on US soap All My Children in 1984, earning an Emmy nomination for outstanding younger actress. She has since guest-starred in numerous TV shows including Miami Vice, Law & Order, The L Word, HBO's Treme and the miniseries Mildred Pierce, and she won an Emmy for outstanding guest actress in a comedy series for a guest spot on Louie.
Her film work includes an Oscar nomination for best actress for Frozen River (2008) and a best supporting actress Oscar win for The Fighter (2010), with other credits such as 21 Grams (2003), Prisoners (2013), The Equalizer (2014), Olympus Has Fallen (2013) and London Has Fallen (2016). More recently she starred in 2024's The Clean Up Crew and Long Gone Heroes.
Readers are asked to submit their questions by 6pm on Tuesday 13 January; the answers will be printed in Film & Music on 16 January.
