The Kid LAROI opens up about breakup on Before I Forget
People reports The Kid LAROI's third studio album, Before I Forget, dropped on Friday, Jan. 9, and finds the 22-year-old Australian rapper taking a vulnerable approach to his songwriting and opening up about a breakup. He was last linked to Tate McRae and had previewed the new era with songs such as "A Cold Play," "A Perfect World" and "Back When You Were Mine," but the rest of the album offers an intimate look at his emotions after the July split; he seemingly confirmed the break in a series of posts on X in July.
In November he shared the cover art on Instagram and wrote: "I made this album in the last 4 months. I had a whole other album that was completed but I scrapped it. started again from scratch with the exception of 1 song. it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever made," adding, "it’s also the most personal thing I’ve ever made.
