The Rookie's Nolan and Bailey attempt a second honeymoon in Prague

People reports that in the season 8 premiere of The Rookie, Jenna Dewan's Bailey Nune and Nathan Fillion's John Nolan try to rekindle their romance during an international mission that doubles as a trip to Prague.

"I don't think these two characters get a lot of opportunity to leave town on such a gorgeous location," Fillion says. "So they kind of ruled this job into a second honeymoon of sorts." Dewan adds, "Our first honeymoon was a bit of a bust. It was a lot of murder. So this one felt like, well, while we're here, let's make this romantic, because how can you not in Prague?" Their first honeymoon, in a season 6 episode titled "Trouble in Paradise," was interrupted by a dead body and forced the newlyweds to shift into work mode to investigate the crime.

Dewan teases that the Prague trip still "doesn't really go as planned," saying the premiere includes "lots of unexpected yet bonding, adrenaline scenes," and Fillion compared the shoot to a James Bond movie. The Rookie season 8 premiered on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC and is available to stream on Hulu.
