Movieweb reports that producer Courtney Solomon confirmed the recent Strangers reboot trilogy filmed two additional masked killers that were ultimately cut from the theatrical releases.

Solomon said the characters were called "Ghost Skull" and "Witch Face," and that both were shot and will be included among the extras rather than in the final theatrical cuts.

The filmmakers conceived the three chapters as one continuous story and accumulated a large amount of deleted material during reshoots and edits. Solomon has pitched assembling the films into an extended supercut for theatrical play, but said the likelihood of that rollout will depend on how Chapter 3 performs at the box office.

By way of context, Chapter 1 earned $47.8 million worldwide and Chapter 2 earned $21.8 million, while critical scores on Rotten Tomatoes for the reboot entries were 21% for Chapter 1 and 15% for Chapter 2; the original Strangers and Prey at Night scored 50% and 40%, respectively.
