Thomas & Friends: Wonders of Sodor 'powered by Train Sim World' announced

Dovetail Games announced Thomas & Friends: Wonders of Sodor, a new train sim that recreates the island where the familiar engines live. The reveal trailer presents a fully explorable Sodor and invites players to take control of classic characters. Players can "take the controls" of Thomas, Percy, Gordon, Emily, and Diesel across several modes: character-specific "stories," mini games, timetable mode—where you can "run trains on normal days up and down the line"—and free roam to tinker with the game's systems at leisure.

The game's Steam page says Wonders of Sodor combines "the unparalleled detail and realism of Unreal Engine and Simugraph with accessible controls." It is described as "powered by Train Sim World," the long-running series that is six games and hundreds of DLC addons deep.
