Pcgamer reports three reasonably priced 1 TB SSDs currently available for much less than $150, with listings on Amazon, Walmart and Newegg.

The deals highlighted are the Crucial P310 (2280 form factor) for $107 at Amazon, the WD_Black SN850X for $109 at Walmart, and the Crucial P310 (2230 form factor) for $130 at Newegg. The Crucial P310 drives share quoted speeds of up to 7,100 MB/s read and 6,000 MB/s write; the longer 2280 variant is said to offer better thermal performance thanks to greater surface area, while the 2230 is aimed at handheld gaming PCs. The WD_Black SN850X is listed with up to 7,300 MB/s read and 6,300 MB/s write, a 1 GB DDR4 DRAM cache and a 300 GB dynamic SLC cache, and is noted as soon to be renamed the Sandisk Optimus GX Pro 850X.

The article notes these are older, limited stocks and that Sandisk has separated from WD and rebranded several drives, so availability may be uncertain. It also points out the Crucial P310 is a QLC SSD more suited to gaming than professional workloads, the 2230 can run hot under long loads, and the SN850X is marginally better suited to tasks beyond gaming if you can find it at the listed price.
