Thunder visit Cavaliers in MLK Day quadrupleheader in Cleveland
Nbc reports the Oklahoma City Thunder will visit the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, tipping off at 2:30 p.m. ET on Monday, January 19, as the second game of an MLK Day quadrupleheader.
The Thunder enter as the defending champions and the season's most dominant team, with a single-digit loss total and 2025 MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander averaging more than 30 points per game, the report said. The team also features notable defense — Chet Holmgren's shot-blocking and Cason Wallace's steals — and Isaiah Hartenstein and Luguentz Dort are expected to be back in the lineup.
The Cavaliers remain a major playoff contender in the West despite a slower start than last season, led by Donovan Mitchell and an offense averaging roughly 120 points per game; they will try to get past the Thunder's league-best defense on their home court. The game will be broadcast live on the broadcast network and simulcast on Peacock, following a Peacock-exclusive Bucks–Hawks game at 1 p.m. ET and preceding Mavericks–Knicks at 5 p.m. ET and Celtics–Pistons at 8 p.m. ET.
