Timothée Chalamet Film Marty Supreme Becomes A24's Biggest Earner — Movieweb

A24 is celebrating its highest-grossing release after Marty Supreme surpassed Everything Everywhere All at Once with $147 million internationally. The comedy-drama, directed by Josh Safdie, follows a 1950s table tennis prodigy who screws over anyone he can to rise to the top, with Timothée Chalamet in the lead.

Everything Everywhere All at Once previously sat at the summit with $142 million worldwide, followed by Civil War's $127 million. Marty Supreme has yet to open in China, and given that nation’s dominance in competitive table tennis — winning all possible gold medals at the 2024, 2016, 2012, and 2008 Olympics — it's hard to argue against at least another $100m flying into A24's pocket.

Chalamet recently won his first Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for Marty Supreme, beating Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), George Clooney (Jay Kelly), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Jesse Plemons (Bugonia), and Lee Byung-hun (No Other Choice).
