TMNT Secret Lair Superdrop has a $30 ninja reprint with Kevin Eastman art
Wizards of the Coast used a Feb. 17 “Turtle Tuesday” reveal to unveil a Magic: The Gathering – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover and the Secret Lair Totally TubuLair Superdrop. The set mixes retro, VHS-style art with a number of playable reprints, including a nearly $30 ninja staple that hasn’t seen much attention in about a decade.
Each Drop is available non-foil for $29.99 and foil for $39.99, with several bundle options. Collectors get an extra draw: TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman illustrated one of the Drops, and there’s also a drop featuring art by Stan Sakai for Usagi Yojimbo fans. The Superdrop’s contents vary in value and flavor.
VHS Villains leans into nostalgia but offers little reprint value beyond fun art, while The Mighty Mutanimals carries stronger reprints like Pirated Copy and Triumph of the Hordes. The Last Ronin nails its theme, spotlighting cards such as Mental Misstep and Ink‑Eyes, Servant of Oni that fit the comic’s tone.
