Today Is the Perfect Day to Revisit Zack Snyder's 'Batman v Superman'
Not that you ever need an excuse to re-watch Zack Snyder's DC Extended Universe in its entirety, but the perfect opportunity just presented itself. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice took heavy inspiration from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary; Miller and Lynn Varley released the first issue on Feb.
16, 1986. Snyder began his escapade into the DCEU with 2013's Man of Steel, and his tenure came to an end with 2017's Justice League (or 2021's Zack Snyder's Justice League if that's canon in your mind). To many DCEU fans his boldest and best DC Comics movie arrived in 2016: Batman v Superman.
As well as reading or re-reading the graphic novel, why not celebrate the anniversary by watching what is essentially a 151-minute love letter to that series (182 minutes if you choose the Ultimate Edition)?
