Tom Hardy’s 2012 Western Lawless has so far grossed around $55 million worldwide, roughly four times the $15 million haul registered by Jason Statham’s new film Shelter. Shelter opened domestically two weeks ago but has already dropped out of the top 10; produced on a reported $50 million budget, it is both one of the lowest-grossing and one of the highest-rated Statham films of the last decade.

Shelter holds a 63% critics’ score and an 86% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus reads, “Classing up an overdone premise with professional execution, Shelter is highly derivative of previous Jason Statham action vehicles but lean and mean enough to forgive the recycled tropes.” Lawless sits at a 67% score and had a reported production budget of $26 million.

The film is director Ric Roman Waugh’s second flop in a month, following Greenland 2: Migration, which closed its run with $20 million worldwide against a reported $90 million budget.
