Tom Hardy’s The Drop Overtaken by Chris Hemsworth Thriller Crime 101
Crime 101 has reached $30 million worldwide and has surpassed the lifetime grosses of Michael Mann’s Blackhat ($20 million) and Tom Hardy’s 2014 film The Drop ($19 million). It opened to about $15 million and is projected to make roughly $7 million in its second weekend against a reported $90 million budget, leaving little chance of recouping theatrically.
The film is expected to lean on the PVOD market to recover. Critics have been favorable: Crime 101 holds a "Certified Fresh" 87% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus that "Crime 101 has studied the greats of L.A.
