Movieweb reports that the Landman Season 2 finale follows Tommy after his firing by Cami Miller, as he assembles a new company called CTT (Cooper, Tommy, Thomas) Oil Exploration and Cattle and that Cooper is ultimately not prosecuted after the violent assault on Jonathan.

Tommy, prompted by years of feeling passive and by watching Monty’s risky choices, secures funds from Danny Morrell and recruits family and allies — including Cooper as company president, Rebecca, Nathan, Dale, Ariana, Boss and his crew — with “Cattle” added for legal reasons. The episode reveals Cooper struck Jonathan 17 times, Jonathan later suffered a heart attack, and police pressure faded after Rebecca and Tommy threatened to publicize the case, leaving the matter apparently closed.

The season closes with Tommy surrounded by family and a wary optimism, but several uncertainties remain: Season 3 is already in development, the deal with a cartel-connected figure is flagged as risky, Cami may oppose Tommy if she discovers the exodus, and the series leaves open whether the assault’s emotional fallout will return. The show lists a release date of November 17, 2024 on Paramount+.
