Tottenham are reportedly exploring a move to rival Inter Milan for Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby, with reports on Jan. 29, 2026 suggesting the 26-year-old could return to Europe in 2026. Diaby swapped Aston Villa for Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2024 in a £50 million deal. Villa had signed him from Bayer Leverkusen for £52m in 2023, and he scored 10 goals in 54 games for Villa in his only season there.

After joining the Saudi side he said: "I am thrilled to join Al-Ittihad and be part of a project that aims to build a strong team reflecting the club's rich history and values. I look forward to collaborating with my new team-mates to achieve victories and bring joy to our dedicated fans." The Independent reports that Diaby is open to returning to a Champions League club, which makes Inter favourites, but Tottenham are also considering a move.

Spurs, who are without Mohammed Kudus and Richarlison through injury, are said to want to strengthen their attack this month and there is "still a gap" for them to hijack an Inter switch. Part of Diaby's motivation is his absence from France squads in the past year and his desire to be involved in this summer's World Cup, according to the report.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is under pressure after a poor Premier League campaign, although Spurs have enjoyed a better run in the Champions League. After a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt the Dane said: "Very happy for the performance. The players showed great character and mentality.
