Tottenham fans chant for Thomas Frank's sacking after West Ham loss
According to Goal, Tottenham Hotspur fans turned on head coach Thomas Frank during Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to West Ham United, breaking into chants of "you're getting sacked in the morning".
Callum Wilson scored a stoppage-time winner after Cristian Romero had cancelled out Crysencio Summerville's opener; Wilson capitalised on goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario dropping a cross and the goal was cleared by VAR before standing. Spurs sit 17th in the home table with nine points from 11 games in N17, while West Ham arrived on a run of ten away games without a win and remain five points from safety. Thousands of supporters also protested against the club hierarchy, waving yellow flags that read "time for change."
Frank addressed the chants and boos in his post-match press conference, saying: "Of course, I've probably had better times, it's probably not the best time of course... I understand, I'm the man in charge. So the blame will go to me." He added that the situation was "unbelievably tough to take" and urged continued support for the players, adding "there's only one way. It's keep going." Reports began to emerge after the game claiming Spurs are now considering Frank's position.
