TP‑Link Archer BE6500 Wi‑Fi 7 router on sale for $150, covers up to 2,400 sq ft
Kotaku reports the TP‑Link Archer BE6500 is a compact dual‑band Wi‑Fi 7 router now available on Amazon for $150, $30 off its $180 list price.
The router combines two Wi‑Fi 7 frequency bands for combined speeds up to 6.5 Gbps, and uses six external antennas, a quad‑core processor and Beamforming to direct signals to devices. Multi‑link operation can transmit data across multiple bands simultaneously; the BE6500 remains compatible with older wireless standards but promises improved performance and reduced congestion for compatible Wi‑Fi 7 devices. TP‑Link says it can cover up to 2,400 sq ft and support as many as 90 devices.
Wired and security features include two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports, additional gigabit ports, a USB 3.0 port, TP‑Link HomeShield parental controls and threat monitoring, a private IoT network and VPN support. Setup and management are handled via the TP‑Link Tether app or a web browser, and the router supports EasyMesh to expand coverage with compatible extenders. For $150 on sale from $180, the BE6500 combines Wi‑Fi 7 speeds, multi‑gig wired ports and app‑based management in a single upgrade.
