Trailer teases Jessica Jones and Matthew Lillard’s new character in Daredevil season 2

Polygon reports Marvel released a new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again season 2 that gives the first look at Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and a mysterious new character played by Matthew Lillard.

The trailer opens with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reminiscing about a dance with Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) before scenes of violence interrupt. At 37 seconds in, Jessica Jones appears, telling Murdock, "I hope you can walk, because I'm not carrying you," and later is shown beating a heavily armored police officer with what appears to be a large metal door. The trailer also provides a first glimpse of Matthew Lillard as Mr. Charles, who seems to have some sort of relationship with series antagonist Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrino).

Per Lillard, Mr. Charles is "someone completely new to Hell's Kitchen" and a role he did "not wear any lycra of any kind" for, and it's unclear how the character and Fisk are related. Daredevil: Born Again season 2 premieres on Disney Plus on March 26.
