Trailer Shows How Vanessa Bayer's 'Scrubs' Character Will Curb the Todd
The Scrubs revival is nearly a full reunion of the original cast, though a few key players, including Neil Flynn's Janitor and Ken Jenkins' Dr. Kelso, have not been announced. Bringing back Rob Maschio's Todd proved trickier: his trademark innuendo-heavy banter would not sit well in 2026.
The first full trailer introduces Vanessa Bayer as Sibby, the leader of Sacred Heart's wellness program charged with monitoring staff conduct. In one moment she appears while John C. McGinley's Dr. Cox is berating a junior doctor, tells him to "bring it down," and when Cox asks, "Don't I get three strikes?" she replies, "You have 900 strikes." That dynamic lets the show acknowledge shifting workplace standards while keeping Cox's abrasive teaching style largely intact.
Sibby also provides a practical way to include the Todd without restoring his most problematic sexual jokes: his fondness for high-fives survives, but many of his earlier lines would be curtailed.
