Transport Fever 3 will rework characters after AI comparisons
Transport Fever 3, a transportation management sim, will rework its character art after players said the game's glossy, uncanny models looked like AI. The sim tasks players with building transport routes and includes fully voiced characters, and it remains in beta with no specific release date beyond 2026.
Urban Games says the game features handcrafted art but took player feedback seriously. "In the last beta test, where we have shown the campaign for the very first time, we have been made aware by some players that the character models we are currently using for the conversations in the campaign itself, that they look a bit AI," Urban Games publishing manager Nico Heini said.
Heini added, "This is something that is very important to us that this gets addressed, because we don't want any results of AI in our game at all." AI has become a hot-button topic in games, prompting questions about quality, creativity and environmental impact.
