Trevor Noah returned to host the 68th annual Grammy Awards for the sixth — and, organizers said, final — time Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, opening the show with a monologue that targeted figures including Jeff Bezos and Nicki Minaj, Page Six reported. Noah began by saluting Rosé and Bruno Mars and declaring, "we have officially kicked off the 68th annual Grammy Awards," then riffed on a lineup of stars and noted, "The last time Lauryn Hill performed at the Grammys was in 1999." He also poked fun at Diddy in the opening segment.

Turning to the room’s celebrity crowd, Noah quipped, "There are so many stars in this room, I feel like I’m at Jeff Bezos’ wedding, but with more black people," drawing laughter as he walked among attendees. Noah also addressed Nicki Minaj, who has expressed support for President Donald Trump, saying, "Nicki Minaj isn’t here.

She’s at the White House discussing some issues with Trump," and then performed an over-the-top presidential impression, Page Six reported. During his walkaround the room, Noah stopped at several tables and asked Justin and Hailey Bieber whether the makeup mogul had a discount code for her Rhode lip tint.

The night also marked what the show’s executive producer called Noah’s final outing; Ben Winston said he was "beyond thrilled" to welcome Noah back for one last year, per Variety, and told Entertainment Weekly he had to persuade Noah to return.
